Re-Love Clothing Fairs

The Ullapool Re-love Clothing Fairs are a project we have been working on since June 2023. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for buying and selling good quality second hand clothing, bring people together and promote sustainable fashion and habits.

The fairs started off as a joint idea between Ullapool Unpacked and Lochbroom and Community Trust, with the running of the events being taken over fully by Ullapool Unpacked in 2025. Evie Baker (top left) and Catriona Scott (top right) wanted to come together to make second hand shopping more accesible and enjoyable in our small community.

The clothing fairs have engaged 195 different sellers since the first event in June 2023 and £16,147 has gone back into the local community through sales (£3948 from the two most recent events). In addition to the main objective to create an outlet to buy and sell secondhand clothing, a variety of workshops offering the chance to learn new skills were run. These included patch making using sashiko and other embroidery techniques to decorate a patch for a community banner, an introductory sewing machine workshop learning how to make furoshiki wraps and a festive decoration workshop. All workshops focused on reducing waste and used scrap materials.

The next clothing fair is on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th June 2026. See details about how to get involved below:
